Why you should follow her: Swanson is one of the biggest advocates for the use of social media to better communicate with patients. She frequently posts quick-hit videos (complete with recaps) on her blog--in addition to traditional blog posts--that offer advice regarding everyday health and wellness issues, such as how to deal with Pertussis or how to baby proof your house.
