SPOTLIGHT: Kolodner joining open-source consortium
Former national health IT coordinator Dr. Robert Kolodner, a key figure in building out the VistA system at Veterans Health Administration over many years, has surfaced as chief health information officer of Open Health Tools, an international consortium that promotes open-source software in healthcare. It's his first job since retiring from federal service on Sept. 22. The Asheville, N.C.-based Open Health Tools group brings together various constituencies to develop software that helps disparate health information systems share data. Article
