Health IT research money may be getting sparser

With the economy tightening, the money available to Health IT researchers was already getting tighter. But when you take into account that government spending on research was about to start decreasing in the coming year anyway, and that private funding will probably be a bit more sparse because of the economy, it makes the future of Health IT research even harder to predict. While most people in the healthcare industry agree that health IT is important, there is some argument about how important it really is; those arguments could also hurt the chance of research in this area getting the money it needs to keep moving forward at the same rate. Article
