SPOTLIGHT: Getting a grip on HIT terminology

Here at FierceHealthIT, I use the term "EMR" rather than "EHR" to describe electronic records, as I believe the word "health" in the latter is unnecessarily vague. But that's just one editor's opinion--and just one of many HIT terms that still aren't set in stone. Now, however, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology hopes to clear away some of the confusion.
