Cleveland Clinic to help New York health system commercialize ideas

The Cleveland Clinic is set to help a New York health system commercialize its bright IT ideas. Cleveland Clinic Innovations, an IT development subsidiary of the famous medical center, will assist North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System as it develops and brings to market any worthwhile software, apps or other IT products thought up by its physicians. Some of the first conditions the partnership may tackle include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, cancer, sepsis, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia, according to North Shore officials. Interestingly, North Shore is CCI's second client--the first was MedStar Health, a major health system in suburban Maryland, in January 2011. Article
