Another hospital is jumping on the wireless bandwagon: Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL recently deployed technology that makes the entire hospital wireless. Not only that, but it helps organize all the wireless information so that it can be viewed wherever it is needed: at the patient's bedside, on a doctor's desk, or anywhere in the halls through wireless access.

The technology that Methodist Medical Center is using was developed by GE Healthcare. Its executives say that the technology allows a new approach to patient monitoring, in which information can flow from bedside monitors directly into EMRs and decision support systems.
