In a recent survey among actively practicing clinicians on SERMO, 100% of the respondents emphatically agreed that the CDS is bunch of garbage. It does nothing to improve care. However, it is a wonderful tool for bean counters to show how good their hospitals and clinics are. Any one with access to the internet can get cutting edge pertinent info with ease. Just because these products have a seal of approval from a teaching institution does not make them useful or a desirable product for daily use.
