While EMR rollouts differ, even from one city to the next, there are some factors that affect implementations pretty much everywhere in the world, according to new research by a HIMSS taskforce. The task force, which reviewed EMR implementations at healthcare IT centers in 15 countries in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, recently published a study listing these factors, which included funding, governance, standardization/interoperability and communication.
