HIT leaders defend private federal plans

Health industry executives are often critical of what the government does, particularly when it involves their income. But in this case, apparently, things are a bit different. Health IT industry execs are coming to the defense of the government's health IT plans in response to a research report calling the ONCHIT five-year plan "poorly conceived." In an unusual move, many execs are saying that government is in a much better place than private enterprise to make such plans.
