Managing multiple technologies for maximum access and data privacy
Webinar | Managing multiple technologies for maximum access and data privacy
Now available on-demand
Hosted by: Dan Bowman, Editor FierceHealthIT
From admission and discharge to billing and record keeping, today’s hospitals use technology along every point of the care continuum. But challenges remain, especially when so many clinicians and staff access patient records across multiple points, and often on different equipment. Health IT leaders must safeguard patient data not only on desktop computers, but on hand-held devices, remote monitoring equipment, patient and physician portals, and more.
At University of California, Irvine Medical Center, for example, officials have implemented a unique bring-your-own-device policy that merges the facility’s mobile-device management software with a network access control app, enabling an integrated mobile security system. The policy was implemented to allow physicians direct mobile access to the hospital’s electronic medical record system.
This webinar will examine how UC Irvine and other providers are simultaneously using multiple technologies to boost physician access while ensuring data security.
Benefits of attending:
Getting firsthand insight into steps taken to protect data used across multiple platforms that also must be interoperable
Learning about how a BYOD model can impact other systems
Who should attend:
Hospital leaders who use multiple technologies to boost access for providers (CIOs, CMIOs, CEOs)
